Red Salv possibly but not likely. The physical dimensions are different. The contacts will all be different and you would have to change the way your circuitry connects to it. The Mini USB and the USB-C really have not much in common.

The Mini USB has 5 pins from bottom Left to Right:

1 VBUS 5V POWER

2 D- DATA -

3 D+ DATA +

4 ID OTG IDENTIFICATION

5 GND GROUND

The USB-C has 24 pins from Top Right to Left and Bottom Right to Left:

A1 GND GROUND*

A2 TX1+ USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

A3 TX1- USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

A4 VBUS POWER*

A5 CC1 CC OR VCONN

A6 D+ DATA+ (USB 2.0)

A7 DA8 DATA- (USB 2.0)

A8 SBU1 ALTERNATE MODE

A9 VBUS POWER*

A10 RX2- USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

A11 RX2+ USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

A12 GND GROUND*

B1 GND GROUND*

B2 TX2+ USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

B3 TX2- USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

B4 VBUS POWER*

B5 CC2 CC OR VCONN

B6 D+ DATA+ (USB 2.0)

B7 D- DATA- (USB 2.0)

B8 SBU2 ALTERNATE MODE

B9 VBUS POWER*

B10 RX1- USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

B11 RX1+ USB3.1 OR ALTERNATE MODE

B12 GND GROUND*

As you can see there is a whole lot more going on in that connector ;-)
