Hi Christos Karayiannis,

It sounds like you have a faulty or sticking switch for the reverse lights, most likely located in the gearbox. Look at @jayeff answer.

PS! Sorry about my brain conking out on me, and answering about brake lights…

Hi @geirandersen,

Brake light switches usually don't control the reversing lights.

This sounds more like a faulty (sticking) reversing switch connected to the gearbox

Cheers

@jayeff OMG!!! I have no idea what went on in my head… I was thinking of the reversing switch, looking for the reversing switch, but somehow my head “made the decision to barf”.

You are absolutely right; It’s 99 times out of 100 a sticking switch in the gearbox. (I’ll be editing my answer!)

@geirandersen

No problems.

Wait till you get to my age. Then you do it so often it seems normal
