Why does my phone switch between 3g, Searching and then No Service

My iPHONE 4, out of the blue it began to switching from At&T3G to Searching and then No service? is doing it freakently and it doesn't give me no service, can anyone help me find a solution?

Any chance you don't have a case on your phone? The iPhone4 has an antenna design that results in a low signal if you cover the lower left corner of the phone. Check out this article and let us know if your hand position affects reception.
