iPhone 4 lcd bug

Hello All.

I've noticed something after iphone 4 screen replacement. When you touch hard on the screen, you will see that the lcd screen changes color. Like if i was touching the lcd directly. The screen goes "grey/dark green" It is like the screen cant fit, but im sure it does, and im sure i got the best quality. If anyone know how to fix this problem please feel free to talk in here. :) Thx in advance.

All LCD will give the colour/swirl effect if you put pressure on them. I just tested it on my iPod and iPhone, both do it if I press hard enough on the LCD screen.

As for poor fit.. not sure what you mean there??

Hmm i can press on the back (under the apple logo) and make the swirl effect without even touching the screen. And i've tried the screen without putting it into the phone (by just connecting the cables), and no matter how hard i press, it gives no swirl. So im pretty confused. I've compared the original screen and the others i've bought and its 99.9999% the same from inch to inch. The only difference is the frame-holes (where the screws goes in). Some of them are metal some of them are plastic and some of them are bended more than the others.

Do you mean back of the LCD assy or the iPhone case?

Just checked SWMBO's phone and her iPhone 4 gets swirls/discolouration on LCD when I press firmly on the rear. Mind you her rear cover is shattered and held together with packaging tape att.

the iphone case. The battery-cover.

+ LCDs will give swirls and change colors at the point of contact when touched. Obviously the digitizer and back casing on this screen is more flexible than than the original official Apple hardware. dkcengizbond needs to pay the Apple provider their price to replace the screen and be able to put more pressure on their phone.

I guess the quality of the new (fake) screen is not 100% the same as the original one. I also found out that the glass is not made of the same material, the original one is harder. But what i still dont get is, i can try the screen without attaching it into the phone, and it makes no swirl no matter how hard i press on the screen. I wonder if the bezel gets bended when the phone falls. I dont know, but i will post if i ever find out.

Hey again!

I finally found out why the phone made the swirls! I noticed that the original adhesive tape on the iphone 4 is thicker than the one i used. And the sticker makes a little gap between the lcd and the mid frame. So i put 2 pieces of adhesive on top of eachother and that did the trick! :)

I also noticed that the gap is so small, that anything between (hair-sandcorns-glasspieces etc) causes it to do the swirls, when replacing the screen.

By the way, thx for the replies!
