My cpu is overclocking
the cpu fails every friday
Is this a good question?
Hi
When you say fails do you mean over heat or a 100% fail
Let’s see what your cpu is doing by installing intel power gadget
Here’s a link to it
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/...
Also can you add some images of what it’s saying using this amazing guide
Adding images to an existing question
Also did you try a pram and smc reset?
Here’s a link for it

Hopefully this helps
Any questions please ask
Thanks:-)

Hi james, i downloaded turboboost switcher and it wasnt enabled, the mac runs fine until a certain time. I think this is because this macbook has been tampered with because it was owned by someonr else before. (I bought of cex)

@johnbill444 - I think you really have a different issue!
Let’s get a better view of things, install this gem of an app! CoconutBattery take a snapshot of the apps main window and post it here for us to see Adding images to an existing question
You might also want to install this great app as well TG Pro I think you'll see the fan is running hard and you might see the CPU running hot. Post a snapshot of the main window, make sure you capture all of the sensors as it exceeds the windows size.
You could also see if running the onboard diagnostics gives you any errors. Restart your system and press the D key. Let us know what the errors are.
