ifixit forcetouch sensor package contents

I have purchased an ifixit forcetouch sensor. It has adhesive on both sides with protective backing on both sides. It also comes with two additional adhesive pads (branded "tesa"). The forcetouch ifixit guides do not mention these., so what are these for?

They go either side of the force touch sensor to stick all the parts back in place.

Even though the Force Touch sensor has adhesive on both sides?

by

@sdfern Yeah, I tried that myself with the adhesive on both sides and it ended up being too thick. My final solution was to use the existing adhesive on it to stick the Force Touch sensor to the watch frame, then add the Tesa adhesive to the top. That seemed to work pretty well.
