Where is this part's location? NFC(?)

Hi professionals!

Please help me: where is this little part's location.

It may have to do with the NFC..

I replaced the housing with everything, and I simply don't know where this part was to be put.

It seems important because NFC is not working...

Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you so much for the fast answer.

Unfortunately, this is not the metal part of the antenna (step 29) that fixes it to the housing ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

I double - checked, just to make sure...

Based on the searches element's look it must connect some circuit... but I leave it up to you, because I have no idea, where it is from ๐Ÿ˜Ÿ

Hi

It looks to be some form of grounding point/shield/tab

Heres what we can try to help find where it came from

Go to step 29 of this guide iPhone SE 2020 Logic Board Replacement

Is this metal piece from the piece removed on step 29?

Also is it from the sides of the Taptic Engine?

If you look at the last step of this guide you can check

iPhone SE 2020 Taptic Engine Replacement

If so please let me know if it is or isnโ€™t as if it isnโ€™t we can keep looking:-)

Hopefully this helps

Any questions please ask

Thanks:-)

Letโ€™s keep looking:-)

Look at the last step of this guide

iPhone SE 2020 Taptic Engine Replacement

Does your part look like any of the pieces/arms of the Taptic Engine?

by

Thank you again!

Checked- unfortunately not๐Ÿ˜•

I alao taught that the ones on the charging connector aides might look alike- but those were not the one neither...

My point in finding the location was because I was thinking that this is missing from the NFC part.

So to turn it around: if you still have the patience: is the NFC responsible a tenna part the top left antennas in the black unit, or is to be searched here at the bottom, near the heptic part, at the wifi antenna?

If the two are related (nfc not working and the little part) I might be closer to the solution.

Thanks again for helping me in this one ๐Ÿค˜

I Believe the NFC is part of the wireless charging coil

And if you look at this link

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192640969634?...

There doesnโ€™t appear to be that little piece of metal

Was the wireless charging coil damaged at all? Or was it preinstalled

Also did you use a video, guide or you own Knowledge to fix the iPhone?

@hellomacos

Your help is much appreciated :)

My apologiez - yesterday I was wrong: the small piece I was loooking for the location of, was indeed on the leg of the taptic engine (the one by the edge) - I did not realize, because it looked perfectly ok without :)

So thank you so much for helping me solve this one.

NFC: Interesting - never taught of the NFC being part of the charging coil - it makes sense... And indeed, no little piece of metal there

I had to change the full housing (phone fell from 5th floor :o ), and had to remove the back cover - coil is glued to the middle part, and the housing did not have it pre-installed, so the damage can not be excluded.

For chanrging purposes, the coil is working as it should, only the NFC is non operational...- I must have damaged something...

For the repair, I used video guide from ifixit (obviously) ;) and I also have some knowledge with smartphones, from the past.

Thank you so much for your impecable support and help!
