Xbox One keeps crashing internal hard drive

hi everyone I have an original Xbox One and Here's my situation. every time I install the Xbox one operating system on a hard drive the console crashes. The crash seems to happen while I'm playing games. first the console will start acting weird by not opening the menu and stuff then the game will just completely crash. This causes me to have to completely shut the system down. Upon booting it back up it crashes and tells me to restart the system or troubleshoot I believe.

Answer this question I have this problem too

If it’s original it could be overheating. Open it up and clean out any dust build up also replace the thermal paste on the main processor.

I've tried this but it didn't work. I took apart the power supply late last night and realized two of the capacitors are swollen could this be the culprit? Maybe the hard drive is not getting enough power?

Could be. Swollen capacitors need replaced as they're dead. Source some with the same voltage and uf and replace them. when you've done it I'd connect it to power before putting it back into the console and test the output with a multimeter. Be careful as some components inside power supplies can store quite a high voltage for a long time.

i also had this problem with an xbox 1 s, fortunately for me it only happened once, however i did have to hand over the reins to a professional to replace the hard drive. i would also suggest external storage as that helped mine not do it again as it had less stress on the console of you get what i mean...
