Hi,

What OS is installed in the laptop i.e. Win 7, Win 8.1, Win 10 and how much memory is installed?

If Win 10 is the OS then to get reasonable performance at least 8GB needs to be installed

The owner manual for the laptop shows that it has only 1 memory slot so you would need to get a 8GB DDR3L 1066 (PC3-12800) SODIMM 204pin memory module. See p.14 for the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the memory module.

To improve performance more consider replacing the existing HDD with an SSD. See p.17-20 of the owner manual for how to replace the HDD.

You will need to get a 2.5" SATA 7mm SSD with a 9.5mm spacer. The spacer is designed to fit under the SSD in the HDD enclosure so that it raises it to the correct height so that it will insert into the motherboard connector OK. (HDDs are a lot bigger in depth than an SSD). Depending on what you can afford the motherboard supports up to a 2TB (tera bit- 1TB=1000GB) SSD. Usually when purchasing SSDs from reputable suppliers they come with cloning software (download online) that allows you to clone the HDD onto the SSD for a seamless transition
