Why is my car making noise when I stop?
Today my Toyota Yaris start to make noises every time when I was stopping. Recently when I back up it would make sounds. Is the breaks?

Usually brakes are the main reason for the noise. If you are getting noise while breaking means the break pad has dried. Either change the pad or remove dryness from the break pads.
In case you are getting continuous noise while running means there is no break pad fault and something else. You should check engine lights error code as well as mobile and coolant. When last you did service your car. I Think you should go for a service.

What do you mean "remove dryness"? I've never heard of such a thing regarding brakes
@brandon_k Local mechanics uses a very tiny amount of lubricants after cleaning the break pads. It stop chocking noise while applying the breaks. It is very old trick but now days is not in trends but it works.
@rudraji I do not know where you're located, but here in the USA none of our mechanics (least none I've ever met) do this as it affects braking. Only think I know to lubricate on brakes are the slide bolts. Never lubed brake pads. I check n if they're getting thin I replace them. Never once had em make noise doing it that way.
@brandon_k You are absolutely right. I told you that was an old trick but here in my location some old mechanics uses it and it increase the life of break pads. New mechanics don't know and not use it. Its practical and ground level tricks. You will never find anywhere.
What kind of noise? Describe it please. In the meantime yes get your brakes checked out. Is most likely the cause.

It a loud noise. The thing is when I drive 20 miles and have to go to a complete stop it would make the noise.

@Silvia Flores is it a grinding noise? A squeal? A squeak? It sounds like you need your brakes checked. Good chance you need brake pads.
