What is this clear plastic ushaped piece and where does it go exactly?

Would anyone know where this plastic “u” shaped piece belongs inside of the elite series 2 controller? Please help this is a disaster. My 1 year old dropped it and it fell right out from the inside of the controller… I have not idea where it might have came out from. Can someone please help I need help to find the location to put it back
