Hi,

Please confirm the model number of the laptop?

Have you checked that it wasn't the internet video that was the problem by watching a different one or even occurs when just browsing/using the computer?

Try connecting an external monitor (HDMI port to TV perhaps) to the laptop and check if the same problem occurs on it.

Hi, sorry

It's the HP Laptop - 14s-cf3006tu

It occurs every two seconds regardless of what I'm doing, even if it's shutting down.

I tried connecting its display to a different monitor and it seems fine there

Hi,

It appears as though the problem is either a loose or faulty video cable or more likely a problem in the LCD display panel and it will have to be replaced.

Here's the maintenance and service guide, taken from this support webpage for the laptop.

Go to p.57 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove the display assembly. This will give you access to inspect the video cable and if it is OK then to remove/replace the LCD panel.

The part numbers for the replacement LCD panels are also shown on p.57.

Note: Contrary to what is stated there about the LCD part numbers for the various LCD panels that can be used in a HP 14 series laptop, if the Product Number for your laptop (found on the information label on the bottom of the laptop) is 3R496PA or 3R496PAR, then according to the HP Partsurfer website, the LCD part number for your model is L68260-001 which is a LCD 14 FHD BV UWVA 250 eDPslim.

I think maybe that the manual is just a general manual for the HP 14 laptop series and is not specific to your particular model's actual installed hardware.

If you wish to verify what the actual part number is for the existing LCD panel so that you can get an exact replacement, usually it can be found on a sticker, somewhere on the back of the panel itself.

Search online using the part number only to get results for suppliers that suit you best.
