Loose USB-C Ports 2017 MacBook Pro

I have a mid 2017 Macbook Pro and all of my USB-C ports are loose (do not click when cable is inserted), have been to my local Microcenter and they say that I would have to replace the entire top case, and cost around $180 plus ~4 week wait time. So, I am wondering if there is any other way to fix this issue.

Well, I'm not sure why they told you that! The case is not where the connectors are. Here's the needed part MacBook Pro Retina (A1706 & A1707 Late 2016-2017) USB-C Board now the grounding clips are springs which sit in slots as you can see here

You'll need to pull the logic board out to gain access to the screws which hold the Port assembly and/or access the springs. Now if they have snapped then you will need a new case assembly unless you can find a junker to steal them from it. Here's the guide MacBook Pro 15" Touch Bar 2017 Logic Board Replacement
