Hi,

It may be a faulty charger/charger cable, a faulty DC-In jack cable (supplier example only to show part) or hopefully not, a problem on the motherboard.

First check if there is 19.5V DC when measuring the output voltage on the cable plug of the charger.

If not then either the charger or the charger cable/plug is faulty. Search online using the model number of the charger (look on charger for model number) to find suppliers.

If there is then here's the maintenance and service guide for the laptop. Go to p.70 to view the necessary pre-requisite steps and then the procedure to remove/replace the power connector cable (aka DC-In jack cable).

Initially just unplug the cable from the motherboard and then use an Ohmmeter to prove continuity of both the inner +ve pin connector (red wire) and outer -ve ring connector (black wire) from the input side of the jack to the cable plug.

If the jack is faulty search online for 813945-001 to find suppliers that suit you.

If the jack is OK then more testing on the motherboard would be required to find out what's wrong. Has the laptop been dropped or gotten wet at all?
