Is it possible to replace the emmc chip in a non jailbroken switch?

Recently i sent my switch to repair shop, after a diagnose they stated that they weren't able to fix it because the problem was related to the emmc chip. I searched online and found the chip for sale, i was wondering if it is possible to fix the console by replacing the chip with a new one.
