only sensing light comes on.

i have a kenmore series 500 washer. model number-110.25102310 the washer stopped in the drain cycle with lid locked light on. i canceled the cycle and tryed to restart on the drain/spin cycle. only the sensing light came on with a faint click but lid lock will not engage. i unplugged for awhile and plugged back in. tried entering diagnostic mode and will not go int it. the sensing light keeps coming on and nothing else. even after unplugging for awhile and plugging back in it will come on after about 10 seconds.

Hi @tman3225

Did you try the auto test mode diagnostics or the manual test mode diagnostics?

If auto try the manual (see p.4 & p.9) of the tech sheet to see if you can isolate the problem by testing the individual functions of the machine.

If no good try checking the main control board voltages as per Test #1 main Control on p.12

When trying to enter into diagnostic mode per the tech sheet. I could not get it to. I’ve done it before when it would continuously run cycles a few years ago. I will check control board now.
