iPad pro water damage but Mac can still see it

hi,

my water bottle accidentally opened in my bag and it spilled all over my iPad. I saw the screen kinda had artifacts and then I turned it off right away.

I then left it buried in raw rice for 48 hrs and now it won't turn on...

so then I tried to plug it in to my MacBook and the MacBook was able to recognize the iPad.

im wonder which part is broken?

maybe just the screen?

Sorry but I laughed out loud when I read ‘raw rice’ 😂😂😂😂

I don’t know who started it but the rice myth doesn’t work and is a waste of time.

You may be lucky and just need a screen. I take it your able to back it up ? Most of the time the screen takes the hit unless it’s totally submerged. Unfortunately leaving it for 48 hours might of caused more damage. Ideally it should be opened and dried out and possibly the board put in a ultrasonic bath as soon as possible.

Best take it to a repair shop to be looked at, unfortunately if repairable will be expensive.
