Why won't my engine start when pto is connected?

Having problems with my simplicity mower... when pto is disconnected from the mower it will start up no problem.... but when pto is back on and connected the engine will not start... what could this be?

I'll have to look when I get off work.... not.sure right this sec.... but without knowing the model number have you heard of this problem before?

Not really but I know with some that there is a safety switch associated with the pto so maybe that's the problem

Knowing the model number may help to find the service manual which would have the wiring/parts diagram so that the reason may be found.

Hi,

Here's an image that shows how to test if the PTO interlock switch is OK.

If the switch is faulty the replacement part number is 1686620SM. Search online using the part number only to find suppliers that suit you best.
