best way to upgrade to SSD MacBook 3,1 late 2007?
Hi all,
First want to say what an awesome site iFixit is. Been using it for years. So I have an older macbook 3,1 and I've been looking into replacing the HD with a SSD, but I seem to have found confusing posts. Some say I need to use an optical bay adapter and have 2 internal drives, others seem to swap out the original HD no problem, and yet others have problems in both areas. From my research I've understood that no matter what I do, there will be a data logjam as the Sata speed on the Macbook are limited to 1GB but the SSD drives can go up to 6GB - so theres that problem. Anyone able to offer me advice or am I better off selling my macbook and buying an air?
Is this a good question?
