Nintendo 2DS immediately dies when bumped

I have a 2DS that dies immediately if it's slightly bumped against something (requires very little force). Found one thread on it where someone had luck with some extra padding in the battery compartment (along the lines of folded paper, plastic card), but I only had short-lived luck with that solution.

Anyone recognize this and have any ideas on how to fix the issue?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hello mate,

So it seems like when the 2DS is bumped something is no longer making contact with something. What I would recommend doing is trying to re-seat some parts that seem loose and try reseating the battery. If that does not fix your issue you may need to replace the battery, I hope this helps.

Note: If you want to re-seat the battery make sure it is below 25%. Battery’s above that charge percent are not safe to work with.

Yeah, that far I'm intuitively getting as well, but once I had it open I didn't really see any parts that were obvious to check. The battery connector seems to be soldered directly to the motherboard, and nothing stood out when inspecting it, so I'm not quite sure what to check next.

Weird, I really can’t help past this point, I haven’t heard of anything like this before, I hope you are able to solve your problem, maybe a new battery could help, but that’s all I can think of.

Maybe one of the solder points is loose?
