Hi

I usually work on things other than Xbox’s but I do know after working on PlayStation controllers that there is usually a little hole on the back that you can insert a sewing needle into the back of and press and hold a Little button on the bottom of it to reset it,it usually takes about 10 seconds

This is what I find usually works in PlayStation controllers

Hopefully this helps

Thanks:-)

@palehatter I agree with @hellomacos that resetting the controllers is a very good first step.
However, it's a bit odd that it happens with several controllers...?

I would start with resetting the controllers and also resetting controller settings on Xbox (I hope it's still possible, I haven't touched an Xbox since the release of the 360).

If those fail, take out the batteries and wait a couple of minutes.
Then plug the controller into the console with a cable, as this should also validate and update the controller firmware.

I believe the procedure to factory reset the Xbox One controller, is to press the Xbox button and the Menu button together, holding them down for aprox. 10 seconds. This should restart the controller with the factory settings.

Hope this helps :)
