Replaced Disc Drive, Drive will not load discs or run

Hello, I replaced the disc drive in my Xbox one X. It would hardly ever read and if it did, it was when I tilted it upwards. I got a replacement disc drive and installed, and it would not run at all or even allow a disc to be installed. I then found the instructions to transfer over the original board into the new disc drive. I have done this, but the drive will still not run at all or allow a disc to be inserted.

The drive is a "used and tested" part from ebay. Is it most likely that the replacement drive is faulty? Or is there something I am missing in this process?

Hi. so you tried to replace the disck drive and it wont detect and allow the disk right?

So first, i need you to check this:(if u skipeed or missed something) Xbox One X Disc Drive Replacement

and if u did it correctly then check if your board or the disc drive had any problem.

I think that the disc drive does not recive power from what you say. try to ask the seller if it had any broplem before you buy it or try to clean the lens (dont try of u cant or it might get scratched). Reply if you need anything (aslo check if there is a disc drive on the ifixit shop).
