Sonos Play:5 (Gen 2) was introduced in late 2015 and discontinued in early 2020 with the launch of it's successor, the Sonos Five. The Play:5 (get 2) and Five are identical except for improved cosmetics and newer processing hardware with more ram. The speaker drivers, amplifiers, and DSP are the same.

Damage from falling on concrete

My speaker fell about 5 feet onto a concrete paving stone outside my back door. I think it must have landed on its top left corner as there is a small amount of damage there. It still works, but it rattles and distorts near that corner, more the louder the volume, and particularly the low frequencies (drumming and bass). Any suggestions?

Hi,

Was the speaker on at the time it fell?

If so there may be electrical damage as well as any physical damage

You will have to open the speaker to really know what damage has occurred.

Here's a teardown video for the speaker that may help.

Post some images of the damage in your question if you need further help. Here's how to do this on ifixit. Adding images to an existing question
