Toshiba Satellite L45-S7409 turns on but does nothing

Excuse the device being wrong, iFixit seems to not have my model.

So I recently tested a Toshiba Satellite L45-S7409 and it turned on, but nothing happened. Is there anything I can do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

@kn1dafixer disconnect the HDD. It is possible that your drive has failed and prevents your computer from starting up. Also, connect an external monitor just in case your LCD does not work. That way you can see if anything shows. Can you get into your BIOS (probably not if the "Toshiba" splash screen does not come up) but if it shows on an external monitor hit F2 to get into the BIOS. Check out what it says about your drive etc. Also, remove the RAM and see if that makes a difference. Unlikely that this may be caused by a depleted CMOS RTC battery but while you are there, might as well change it as well.

its possible, but it didnt beep or anything so its unlikely.

oh and where is the cmos rtc battery

@kn1dafixer it's on the motherboard so you will have to disassemble your laptop. It might not POST with a bad drive or bad RAM, remove those one at a time and see what your computer does. Being systematic is the best way to troubleshoot.

oh and will it boot without the LCD?

@kn1dafixer it might if it does not know that your LCD is not working (most of the time) so that is why you want to double check with an external monitor.
