X button only working when I hold the big button in the senter

i were playing a game when I lost and then I gently laid the controller on my lap when I got to playing again I realized quick that the X button weren’t working so I tried many thing this morning I realized the X button worked when I were pressing hard down the big button in the middle of the ps5 controller how do I fix this??
