How to fix desktop not rendering upon bootup

My computer once got the blue screen of death... and upon shutting it down and turning it back up, the screen goes black after logging in.

I need help...

  1. Try a Windows Key Sequence to Wake the Screen.
  2. Open Task Manager to Restart Windows Explorer.
  3. Roll back the Display Adapter Driver.
  4. Uninstall your Display Adapter Driver.
  5. Perform a System Restore.
