My MP3 player is not switching on.

It is stuck on a screen that says "searching...", with a bar beneath. The bar initially moves but then gets stuck and does not move even when left alone for hours. It is a Bush 8GB MP3 player.

Are there any songs on the MP3 player? Does it connect to the computer?
