My desktop is white when it's off and when it's on but it make this really loud noise when turned on I have no idea what my girls did to it when using it to do homework
It's a hp all in one PC model # 20-c020
Also I have no ides what happened yesterday my daughter was doing homework on it then out of nowhere it when black first then we turned if off to see but nothing happened so we unplugged it and then we plugged it in and the screen was white I tried turning it on and it would make a loud Beeping sound
Is this a good question?

@cindy559 is it a single uniterupted beep or on and off beep? The grey screen means it turns your backlight on but it appears to not load your operating system. Looks like you can get into the BIOS by following these steps.
Starting HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI
To start HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI, follow these steps:
1. Turn on or restart the computer, and quickly press esc.
2. Press f2.
The BIOS searches three places for the diagnostic tools, in the following order:
a. Connected USB flash drive
NOTE: To download the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI tool to a USB flash drive, see
Downloading the latest HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI version on page 36.
b. Hard drive
c. BIOS
3. When the diagnostic tool opens, select a language, select the type of diagnostic test you want to run,
and then follow the on-screen instructions.
Without doing anything, see if you can get to that point. Also, if you have another way to access the internet download the manual from here http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c06...
@aactech what is your take on this issue?

Hi Cindy,
Can you hear the fan or the hard drive spinning ? If yes then it is powering up O.K.
If you are adventurous this video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4qDGFsXa...
shows how to open the case to allow you to take out the CMOS coin battery to reset the BIOS. You will see it just above the RAM module.
With the coin battery out press the power button (don't plug in power!) and hold for 30 seconds to reset BIOS.
Make sure it is unplugged and turned off. Take your time and watch the video several times and be gentle.
If you carefully balance the screen you can test it before reassembling.
If that fixes it while it is open you could also upgrade the RAM and replace the hard drive with an SSD drive for a much faster system.

@aactech I didn't open it yesterday to see if it was because of dust because the fan turns on but it doesn't sound loud as it use to sound
