Incompatible parts: iMac27 EMC 2309 and 2374 (Late 2009)?

These imac27 EMC 2309 and 2374 (Late 2009) are very similar; I wonder which parts are incompatible? I guess only the CPU, logic board and PSU?

They are twins! Lets look at the two systems for whats different

Only one thing! The CPU's!

This series was the transition between the Core2Duo to the newer Core 5 & Core7.

I would spend some time over at EveryMac - Lookup digging though what they have, and only the CPU's are different.

Does this mean that I could upgrade the CPU on EMC 2309 to Core 7, without changing anything else?

@tonyh2 - Yes, BUT! It needs to be 860 chip and Intel hasn't made the chip since ~2010 so its a bit of a crapshoot getting a good one if you can find it.

On the most part its not really worth the effort ;-{

Your skills on working on your system then gets into the mix, you could create a mess and then where would you be? There is just not enough performance gain in my mind.
