HP 8610: One or more cartridges appear to be damage!

Hi, I turn it on, it complains about a damaged cartridge, so I open the front door to replace.

When I open the door, the carriage does NOT move, and the error message now says to close the door to print.

I close the door, and the original damaged cartridge error message returns.

I read some article that says you should downgrade you r firmware and I tried to go service menu by 4 taps on back icon on left side of screen, but I can't get to any service menu, and I have tried unplugging, waiting and plugging back in, and I have tried forcefully moving the cartridge, but nothing works.

Anyone has any experience about this error?

Thanks,

Answer this question I have this problem too

Yes, is there any way that I access to service menu when my printer has error?

let me check

if you open it then you can see a wire connecting to the cartridge , check that wire to see if its damaged

by

if that's not damaged then try to look at the connector between the cartridge and the connecter

the place where you place the cartridge

and finally yes, you can access to service menu when your printer has an error on these steps:

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.

Unplug the power cord from the power source.

Wait 60 seconds.

Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and the printer.
