Why won't my 1985 k100 keep running,
The motor starts and runs for about 10 seconds then stops. When it stops it appears the fuel pump starts up and continues to run, can restart with same results.

It's most likely gummed up carburetors, or the fuel valve is turned to off. May also be too low on fuel. I would dump a can of Seafoam fuel additive into the fuel tank and see if it starts to clear it up.
