What cord do I get to connect my MacBook Pro (2013) SSD to a USB?

I have a Macbook Pro Retina from 2013/2014 that I am planning to extract the SSD from. I don’t want to buy a full enclosure because I need a low cost option so I am wondering what cord I need to buy to connect this type of SSD MacBook Pro 13" and 15" Retina (Late 2013-Mid 2014) SSD to a USB? What is the connector type called? I see some hard drive ports/connectors are called SATA? Is this the same for the Retina SSD? It seems like the pin counts are different… any links or advice would be helpful!
