turns of other times it will turn on only to shut of

My viera is 6 years old and keeps turning it self off. Remote want works so turn it on at the back of TV some time picture flashes and then turns of other times it will turn on only to shut of at anytime it does not have a fan so dust is not the problem I'm think it's the powerboard anyone else thought

vamonty65 what is the exact model number for your TV? Yes, it does sound like a power board issue but.....we don't know yet for sure.

from memory the standby light on Panasonic TV's will flash (x) number of times to indicate the fault, can help with diagnosing the issue without opening the chassis.
