A piece of something inside lens

I have a little piece of lint in my lens. It shows up when I take a picture. How do I get that piece of lint out of the lens. It is not on the lens but inside.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Hi Judith, I just noticed your question, which addresses a similar problem that recently occurred with my own Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX80: A tiny bit of fibre seems to have migrated into the space between the sensor and the lens assembly and appears as a spot of blur on photos and videos.

I suggest you have a look at the page that explains how to replaces the lens (see link below). I've left a more detail comment under step 10, and also a follow up comment at the bottom of the page, which you may find helpful.

Scroll down to Step 10 to see an illustrative photo of the opened up camera, which you can zoom in on. If you can disassemble the camera to that point, the lint you speak of may be exposed at this stage and (possibly) blown away with compressed air.

There are repair manuals on how to replace the lens. It would be the start of what you would need to do to disassemble the lens to get it out. Taking apart the lens module could introduce more into the lens, if it’s not done in a very clean environment.

If you do go to repair it, you could make a repair manual for the steps you took to do it to helps others, too
