some keys don’t work, some give multiple letters and numbers with one press

It seems like some liquid material or dust has poured on your keyboard. Sometimes due to cable strip damage, you also get these types of errors. Few keys work and some of them are not.
The best solution is to change the keyboard panel on your laptop. You can get an external keyboard easily in the market.
