how to fix lightning port on iPad air 2? My son killed the port probably by pulling at the cord while plugged in.

Do you mean the cable or the actual port?

@yeetos I am not really sure. As far as I can see the port itself looks ok, but when I plug in a cable to it, it's a bit loose and just repeated goes from charging to not charging. Now I think it's just not charging.

I think you may have to solder on a new port, have you tried another cable?

Ok. That's what I heard elsewhere. Just hoping there was an easier fix. Think you are right though. Thanks for the help!

Use your phone or magnifying glass to check for signs of damage inside the port (bent pins, broken part, etc.), if you think it looks ok, remove the screen and check if screws are tight/loose (there are 4 philips screws securing lighting port to the case if I’m not mistaken), your last resort is to replace the port which requires soldering.
