Dont have cord for controller Is there another way?

I have a Playstation 3 sixaxis controller but no PS or cord and would like to use on laptop to play games, my question, is there another way to power it on so l can see if it works, l aslo have a PS3 usb toggle for comp to work, any ideas, comments are appreciated, thanks

Options

I believe and data transfer/ charge cord the has the correct ends will work. Shouldn't have to be a specific cord.
