iPhone keeps rebooting after replacing battery

After replacing my 3gs battery the phone keeps rebooting every few minnuts, I replaced the old battery and the phone works fine, after serthing for the solution,

it apers to be one of three things,

1) a defetive battery.

2) the rong battery.

3) compatibilety issue between te latest OS and non OEM batterys "OEM batterys aperintley have an ID chip that the OS looks for"

The old battery is APN:616-0431 VPN:GB-S10-374270-0100

The New battery is APN:616-0435 VPN:LIS1416APPC.

can eney one tell if I have the right replacment battery or not?

It can be hit and miss with 3GS battery replacement. Buy another from another vendor. That apn should be fine but... Read feedback before buying off eBay etc

You Have the right one, probably just a bad battery.

I have exactly the same problem!! replaced the battery in my old 3G and the thing keeps rebooting.

just receved an email from Ifixit they think its a bad battery and there sending me a new one. thanks to Ifixit and every one here fore the help.
