Found red marks inside my TV screen.

Hello,

Today I discovered a few red marks on my TV, when I tried wiping them away with a micro fibre cloth I noticed they were inside of the screen. The marks are most notable on a white background, invisible on darker ones.

Never heard of anything like it and the TV is only one month old. Haven't bumped into the TV or anything the like that I'm aware off.

I tried turning it off and pulling the electricity for a few minutes but the marks are still there.

Question: Found red marks inside my TV screen.

Answer: There are a couple possibilities. Someone might have gotten tomatoes on your LED screen (which is a stupid idea by the way) or a dead pixel. Because LCD and OLED screens are typically composed of more than two million dots known as pixels, dead pixels – pixels that don't change color – are extremely common. Luckily, they're usually only noticeable when displaying a solid color on screen.

Solution:

  • If it is a tomatoey mess, wet a cloth with water and wipe the mess off of your TV.
  • If it is a dead pixel, I'd contact the manufacturer of your TV and tell them there's red marks inside of your TV. Then they might give you solutions, and then you can go from there.

Besides, which model of your television was it? Comment on this reply the model of your television so we can get further details.

Hello and thank you for your response. As stated I did wipe with a microfiber cloth and that's when I noticed that it's behind the screen itself. Does not look like a cluster of dead pixels either(I have seen them before since I've had multiple displays in my lifetime) since it is able to change colour etc.
