Washer only fills drum with water and works on express cycle

I have a kenmore top load washer model # 110.31633611. The unit has water coming into it but only fills the drum and runs a “normal cycle” when it is on express wash. No other cycle works. You can hear water entering the machine, but it just won’t enter the drum unless it is express mode.
