Original Switch shuts down as soon as any charger is connected

I have an original Switch that shut down the other day, and would not power on no matter how long I held the power button. I eventually was able to get it to power back on after using these steps: Nintendo Switch doesn't turn on (basically unplugging the battery, holding power for 20 seconds, then reconnecting the battery and powering on). However, now, whenever I connect the Switch to power (either the original dock and power supply, or to a second official power supply), it immediately shuts off and will not power on until I repeat the steps to unplug the battery itself. Has anyone else seen this? Before trying a factory reset or ordering a new battery or USB-C port, I wanted to see if there was any other steps anyone else had tried. Thank you!

Look into the port to see if any pins are damaged, m92 ic could be failing but if you have near worked on anything like switch ports do not attempt to repair it yourself

If the ports pins visually look good then strong chances it’s the M92 IC, like I’m 99% confident it is.

It’s a relatively easy thing to replace however without the tools or some magnification it may prove difficult, especially if you’ve never done anything like this before.
