I used this iPad for a while but now it is on Lost Mode

Hello everyone. I have an old iPad 3 which I got a long time ago and have been using it ever since. However, it’s suddenly locked itself after reboot and now it is asking me for an email and password which I do not know (Also showing Activation Lock). I do not know the previous owner of the device and I have no contact with them. Now I want to use this iPad for educational purposes, however all I can do as of now is only booting it up. What should I do in order to use it again, please, it is a really frustrating situation. Someone told me that I should change the entire motherboard and someone else said there might be a way to bypass the verification page. What are your suggestions? Can I somehow fix it?

Nothing you can really do except a motherboard swap.

Thank you for the answer! Where would you recommend me getting a new motherboard from?

@areeve Thank you. It shows currently out of stock, will try to buy, last question, when I created this question, I was asked to choose between two models, one was wi-fi and one was 4G, I actually don't know which one I have, would they require different parts?

They are different parts. Does it have a black plastic window on the back? If it does then it is cellular. If it does not then it is Wi-Fi only. You could also look for a sim tray. As for finding a logic board, I would just look on eBay with a high rated seller.@mehi
