Power/Sleep and Home Button Unresponsive

I have a iPod Touch 4g which has a cracked screen. I replaced it, and still didn't put it back. I attached the two wires from the screen to the iPod, and now the Power Button and touch screen are not working. I plug in my charger, and it goes to the password screen, and I can't slide it.

How can I fix this?

EDIT: The volume button also don't work :/

Answer this question I have this problem too

Assuming that everything worked well before, the #1 culprit for malfunctioning electronics after dis-assembly tends to be dirty or poorly seated connectors. Clean everything well with a high-content rubbing alcohol and make sure the connectors are seated fully. If that all checks out, closely inspect each of the connectors and see if a pin was damaged. Good luck and let us know what you find!

I tried this, and now the display doesn't light up anymore when I plug the charger in :(

It is most definitely a damaged on/off, volume flex cable. There is a post elsewhere on this site.
