Black blobs on the screen

Lenovo Tab M10 Plus

I dropped my tablet a few times on different things, including a rock, which made my screen cracked. Recently, I’ve been seeing black blobs that seem to change shape and position under pressure. I can still tap on them to press a digital button on the screen, but I can’t see past them. They’re black but are shaded a bit to whatever color I’m viewing on the edge

@shibainu yes that sounds like a broken LCD screen. I agree with everything that was said about this before. The only thing I suggest is that you replace the screen yourself. After all, this is iFixit and no need to get a replacement tablet. For example. you can get a replacement display from places like this Then use a video like this to be your guide. As you can see it is not really a very tough repair.

Shiba, honestly this is an LCD screen issue, the drop onto the rock made the LCD and the glass under pressure and got cracked. So your tablet screen is broken, you have two options:

  • If you are covered under a certain warranty for your tablet, your tablet might have broken warranty. If that, you can contact the company;
  • or get a replacement tablet.

I also recommend a Lenovo Tab M10 Plus teardown, if hopefully that can get rid of the problem.
