White Screen after screen replacement?

I replacement my broken screen with one bought from amazon using a video by phonedoctors, i turned the phone on and all i get is a white screen, it locks properly and lights up with the home button, but all i get is a white screen. I tried resetting and even restoring, still white screen. The phone works because i can still listen to music using the iphone headphones to control it. Is it the display that was defective or did i do something wrong?
