Pioneer AVH-Z2900DAB - Reverse Camera Problem
This weekend I installed a Pioneer AVH-Z2900DAB, replacing a cheap Android system,
I already have a rear reverse camera (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07M...) in situ that was working well with my previous head unit (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/362534326529).
From what I see I have wired this correctly, the camera AV cable is plugged into the brown reverse camera cable on the head unit and the reg pig tail cable is connected to the reverse switch on the head unit.
The previous set up worked without the ground being connected on the camera end, but after reading some posts on ehre I have connected the ground wire to the chasis. But still no image, the camera does automatically switch when I go into reverse but all i get is a black screen.
Is this a good question?

Do a need a specific Pioneer camera for this to work?

You shouldn't need one, as it is a standard AV input.
Just wondering as I can't find the installation guide but the user manual mentions a 2nd camera input -see p.81. You haven't connected the reverse camera to that input by any chance?
