Is it possible to disconnect only the trackpad?

I’m having problem the keyboard and the trackpad, it’s freezes. Sometimes SMC reset does the trick, but after awhile it will freezes again. I’m looking through boot log and got this:

(IOHIDFamily) Invalid digitizer transducer

So I’m just curious is the touchpad is the one to blame? And so I want to disconnect the trackpad without disconnecting the keyboard. I see 4 cables on the trackpad:

  2. The cable to the mainboard
  3. The cable to the keyboard
  4. ??

What is cable number 1 and 4? Curious if these cables are the actual trackpad cable, and wondering can we disconnect these cables?

1 - Y signal inputs from trackpad

2 - combined signal connection to logic board.

3 - Keyboard input

4 - X signal inputs from trackpad

The logic board converts the analog signals to digital ones the main logic board can understand.

I bring the macbook to a local repair shop, they were able to identify a transistor that malfunctioning in the motherboard, and after replacing it, the trackpad and keyboard works fine.

Options

The trackpad has three functions

  1. The Trackpads input and decode
  2. Keyboard input and decode
  3. Connection for the signals to the logic board

In your case the decode logic is damaged within the trackpad, you’ll need to replace it. Your keyboard won’t function without the trackpads decode logic.

Just installed the new trackpad, sadly still the same, even the error log still said the same thing (IOHIDFamily) Invalid digitizer transducer.

Any idea what should I do next?
