Hisense 50HC7 Logo Fades Fast Black Screen w/ Sound & Inputs Working

I was watching my older Hisense 50” (50HC7) the other evening when I ran downstairs to grab a drink and came back up to a blank screen with the audio still going for the flick I was watching. After viewing a few videos and boards most leading directly to a possible faulty T-Con board I decided to just order the board and hope it does the trick.

I saw other videos where they showed that the back lights and LED bulbs/strips went bad and replaced them… I’m really hoping that is not my issue. It just seems odd that every bulb would die at the same time. If I have to spend the extra $55 or so for the bulb replacement kit I suppose I may give it a shot… fortunately I was able to find a last minute Cyber Monday sale as the Hisense broke around 10pm that evening.

Anyone ever replace a T-Con board for the same reason…. Just curious. I was able to change the channels and inputs and hear everything… just no picture. Kind of a bummer since I’ve only had this TV for about 5 years maybe.. and it was one of the ones that didn’t jam ROKU and all the stuff down your throat. It came with Netflix/VuDu/YouTube/Amazon but I’ve always just used my Firestick for most apps since it was much faster and easier.

I ordered the replacement T-Con board that also comes with Ribbons… I tried my voltage meter like on one video and quite honestly not sure if I did it properly but everything seemed to “jump” to the proper readings, or did something in comparison to nothing which would lead to be a bad cable or power adapter.
