How Should I Go About Taking The Screen Apart

I have a Dell Inspiron 14 7472 and a while back the display had issues. It was still under warranty and I sent it in and got the display fix. When I got it back there is some dirt or something in-between the screen and the display. I needed to be able to use the laptop and didn’t have the time to send it back for them to correct it. It is now out of warranty and I was wondering how I should correctly take the that clear panel off of the actual display so I can remove the debris. I have seen videos saying that once you get the display separated from the keyboard to use heat to melt the adhesive and then use something thin to separate it at the edges. My concern is that I will use something too strong and melt the edges and I am not sure what to use to reattach the screen to the display. I have a heat gun and a blow dryer which one would be the best for this? Also once I get everything apart what glue should I use to reattach it and should I clean off the left over adhesive before applying the new one?

Thanks

Contact Dell and explain how you received it. In this case they did the careless work so warranty shouldn’t matter.

For the future here’s the service manual:

download it and save it.

I did try contacting Dell via email. All I get is a copy and paste message from them. They don't seem to want to correct it. Do you think it would be more effect to try and call and talk to someone?
