Why can't I change my brightness?

Hi i recently replaced my Macbook pro 2017 13’ screen, everything works until i tried to change my brightness, it is stuck at full bright and i cant change it using the control centre or the touch bar, also when i go in to settings and to display the brightness settings don’t appear. So i was wondering whether i didn’t plug a cable in correctly or if there is something i need to do?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Sorry, you bought a new display which still needs to be calibrated. You’ll need to visit someone who has access to the needed software tools, you can thank Apple too!

I didn’t think the MacBook screens needed to be calibrated or anything.

@Savage Ccjj - Sorry Apple altered things!

Get a used unit and you'll be fine!
